St. Patrick’s Day Table Setting

I love setting pretty tables and like to challenge myself to find things in my home or that I spend very little on. With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner I wanted to share how you can set a pretty table using wrapping paper, fabric and some pretty roses. Even though its not a huge holiday its always fun n festive for your family and kids too. There may be corned beef and cabbage and a possible apple martini or green beer or two.
I love the challenge to come up with something that didn’t cost much and here’s what I did. My big splurge was the GORGEOUS cream and green roses in the center. LOVE them. I found these at Vons and I have had such great luck with their flowers many times having them last almost two weeks. Look below at the pics for step by step and please come over to the blog. So I love the way the table turned out and now I just have to figure out what we’re serving for dinner. I’m looking forward to a fun weekend with family. How about you? Do you celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day holiday or not?? Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day, Lisa

You can find pretty roses like this for $10 at your local market and sometimes they're even half off.
Here’s how I did it. I started with my empty table.
Start with a blank table.
I added a plain cream tablecloth first. Then I was thinking black and white would be so fun, but hmmm I don’t really have anything in that color scheme. I grabbed a bolt of wrapping paper and made a runner for down the center.
I used some wrapping paper I had a cut a narrow strip for a runner down the center.
Then I layered the brown wicker placemats I found before Thanksgiving and also used for the Mexican Dinner Party too.
The one thing I bought was this pack of clovers at the Dollar Store.
I bought this one pack of clovers at the Dollar Store.
Remember the clear plates I found before the Mexican Dinner party?? I laid a clover down and the glass plate over top of it. Just for a punch of color.
I place clear plates over them and added wicker placemats for texture.
The other day I made these cute Place Settings with Scotch tape and shared my St. Patrick’s Day Place Settings here.
I had bought this pack of frames at a thrift store a while back. I cut some car stock and used expression tape and then wrote our names for cute place settings.
I made napkins with some green and white floral fabric I had and I had bought these silver blingy napkin rings at a thrift store recently for $2.00 for two packs (and they had $10 tags on them woo hoo).
I had fun making some drinks for the table and my husband came in from work and asked if we were having company…lol. I just told him I wanted to greet him with an Apple Martini.
Add some yummy cocktails or mocktails and you are set.

There are so many fun things you can do to set a pretty table and hope you like these. Thank you for stopping by and have a nice day Lisa. scape
I’ll share the drink recipes soon too. We made a few non alcoholic ones for the kiddos too.
