I have some great friends that think about me when they’re at thrift stores! Recently a friend picked these windows up for me. I only used one in today’s project. Sign up for my thrift store makeover email list and you won’t miss the other windows in the next project… or any of my other makeovers!
This project was part of a red, white, and blue blog hop I did so I wanted to add a little patriotic color. I pulled out a USA stencil that I hadn’t used yet and stencil the states red and blue. The frame was already white but a little chippy-er than I wanted for this project so I gave it another coat of white paint also.
I tried as hard as I could to get that gold knob off but it’s stuck in there! So I just added cup hooks around it to hold our BBQ utensils.
Here’s the completed window. (BTW, it’s HARD to take a picture of a window without getting a reflection of the rest of my patio in there!)
I’d love to hear about projects you’ve made with old windows. Leave a comment and let me know what was your favorite. Check out my blog post for a list of supplies and LOTS more up cycled projects!!!

Don't any wood objects deteriorate outside due to the elements? Is there any product that will help?
