Valentine Door Decoration

I don't usually decorate for Valentines Day, but I had a limb I've saved for a long time and decided to make a door hanging with it after seeing all the pretty Valentine stuff in Hobby Lobby, and all the sales they had. I'm not sure why I painted the limb since almost all of it ended up being covered. I guess I couldn't wait to try out the paint.
I used several packages of scrape ribbons, and spools of Valentine ribbon, heart jewels, tassels, etc. I ended up not using everything I bought though.
I tied the ribbons on the stick, sometimes moving them around working in the different colors as I went along.
After getting it like I wanted it, I used silver cord to secure each ribbon piece by pulling it tight and tying a knot using the cording.
I tied on the heart jewels, gold heart charms, and tassels.
I made hearts out of sculpy clay using cookie cutters, I wrote on them and poked a hole in them for hanging. I baked them for about 20 minutes at 275 degrees. I lightly sanded them before painting.
I covered them with the red, and used the white inside each letter, and highlighted them with the gold.
I made the hanger from some of the ribbons. I loved doing this fun and easy project. I think my family will enjoy seeing it when the come to the backdoor around, and on Valentines Day.
