In the mood for something frightening or terrifying? May I suggest researching medical practices of those used in the past. Migraine sufferer? Here...let the doctor drill a hole into your head. Scary stuff, right? And this my friends, was the inspiration for my Halloween entryway vignette ( minus the raven claws and lobotomy equipment!)
Every year my hubby complains that my Halloween decor is too cutesy. So this is what I deemed my "creepy compromise"; pretty for me and spooky for him.
I'm not a fan of spending a lot of dough on holiday decorations, unless, of course, it's Christmas. So I did my best to work with what I had. The skull, skeleton hands, and apothecary jars were my only new purchases for this vignette.
The vintage anatomy prints were freebies that I downloaded

and printed from The Graphic Fairy's website. The potion labels were also free printables. The spider specimen art was a super simple DIY project I shared a few years ago. I think it makes a perfect addition to my little spooky lab.
I think this is my favorite holiday display to date! Halloween is always fun to decorate for.
Thanks for stopping by my lab! Now if you don't mind I have patients to get to. Muhahaha!
