I was going for a wind swept kind of look like the wreath made itself while be swirled around by the wind, getting leaves and whatnot stuck in itself. I feel like it came out looking just like what I wanted!
One day I was at Hobby Lobby and I found these little mini white pumpkins. They immediately told me they needed to be made into ghosts. So, I took them seriously and did as I was told.
I tried using Sharpie, but whatever material they are made from just soaks up Sharpie faster than anything. I killed one Sharpie marker with just one pumpkin. So, I switched to black acrylic paint. It worked much better. It took me about 2-3 layers to get a really good dark face.
While the white pumpkins were drying, I moved onto these cute little tiny orange pumpkins, who also told me they needed to be jack o'lanterns. I skipped right past the Sharpie and also used acrylic paint on them. And then left them to dry overnight.
While the pumpkins were drying, I used a large 16-inch wire wreath and filled it with brown and orange burlap ribbon. It took 2 rolls of each brown and orange ribbon.
I also had picked up some Fall stems of yellow dead-looking leaves and some other Fall stems that were yellow.
I also found this Black Hats Society sign at the Dollar Tree and felt it went perfectly with the wreath.
