It's the holiday season which means gifts will be given for many holidays over the next few months! If you're anything like me, you LOVE to wrap gifts (I know I'm usually in the minority on this one, but if you're this far into my DIY, I will assume you too like to wrap)! I saw a video online of a fun and unique way to wrap gifts so I thought I would give it a shot! Follow along as I show you a cute way to wrap gifts for any occasion!

Measure out your wrapping paper. You'll need a lot for this! I take the object I'm wrapping and measure enough paper to cover the surface area three times. Place your object, in my case, a book, at the bottom of the paper. Leave enough paper to wrap the bottom traditionally. Fold the top of the paper down as show in the photo. Tape the paper to your object.

Take the edge of the wrapping paper, and bring it to the bottom of the gift. Fold the paper tightly to resemble the the photo above; a triangle on the ground and the rest in a 90° angle upwards.

Then, take the paper that was folded upwards and fold it across the front of your object. Tape the paper in place.

Repeat this process on the other side. Take the edge of the wrapping paper, and bring it to the bottom of the gift. I start at the top of the gift, and fold the paper down towards the bottom.

Fold the paper tightly to resemble the the photo above; a triangle on the ground and the rest in a 90° angle upwards. Then, take the paper that was folded upwards and fold it across the front of your object. Tape the paper in place.

Take the excess paper from the first side, and fold it across the front of the object.

Repeat this on the other side.

Fold the bottom of the package traditionally (it will just be "upside-down" than how you normally do it!).

Add a sprig of green in the top pocket you created and add a tag in the bottom and enjoy!

"Tape the paper to your object."????? That will ruin the paper cover of a book and that can be valuable if on a vintage book! I would never do that. Any suggestions to circumvent that step?
