DIY Christmas Clay Tags

Air dry clay is a super easy way to make your own custom DIY Christmas decorations. Simply cut out Christmas shapes such as stars, Christmas trees or snowflakes and hang them on your tree or attach them to a present.
This quick video shows just how easy it is to make your own clay decorations
Make ornaments to hang on the tree or gift tags to tie onto presents.
What You Need:
Air Dry Clay – I bought Montmartre 500g white air dry clay from Overflow for $5.99. Also try craft and other discount stores.
Christmas Cookie Cutters – The star cookie cutters were $2.99 for a set of 5 from Robins Kitchen. I already had the Christmas tree. Try kitchen and baking shops
Rolling Pin
Skewer
Twine or ribbon for hanging the ornaments
Steps
Knead the clay until it is soft and pliable
Roll the clay until it is about 2mm thick
Use cookie cutters to press down and cut out shapes in the clay
Use a skewer to make a hole for hanging the tag/ornament
Allow the clay to dry according to the packet instructions. I let mine dry on a tray for 24 hours
When dry, thread some ribbon or twine through the hole and hang the ornament or attach the tag to a gift
