Who doesn't love candy? We here at DoWitty certainly love candy, and we thought it would be fun to make a few candy arrangements for the holiday. Display them or give them to a friend, a personal way of saying I love you. Watch the video below, and read the instructions to learn how to create this awesome project.
We recommend watching the video first, and then reading the step by step instructions below for the full picture.
To create this project you will need: A parfait glass or mason jar, some ribbon, decorative straws, greening pins, various types of candy, decorative embellishments, half of a foam ball, scotch tape, scissors.
Start by filling up the parfait glass with various types of candy. Our favorite is anything chocolate.
Tape the half foam ball down to the top of the parfait glass with scotch tape. We use scotch tape so that the person you give this to can easily get the candy out when they want.
Use your scissors to hollow out a hole slightly off center in the foam ball. We use this to place the decorative straw in to.
Use a greening pin to pin the candy bar wrapper to the foam. You'll want to go around in a complete circle and then do another layer so they are layered. Cover the entire foam ball with candy.
We cut a small piece of lace or decorative material to glue around the straw to better finish the look.
Tie a ribbon around the parfait glass. Put a dab of glue behind the knot so that it doesn't slide down the glass.
We glued a decorative heart over the knot of the ribbon just to keep with the theme. This completed the parfait glass. Let's do another one just for fun!
Glue the same type of heart embellishment on the lid of the mason jar as you did on the ribbon of the parfait glass.
Glue the same heart on all four sides of the mason jar.
Fill the jar with candy. Put the lid back on and tie a few ribbons around the jar to finish.
Congratulations! You've finished a couple of great gifts to give your loved ones. Thank you for watching and reading, and be sure to follow us on one of the many places we call home below.
