Easy Coffee Mug Sweater – DIY

I am an avid tea drinker. I wake up, head downstairs and grab myself a large cup of black teabefore tackling my day. Since I don’t really care for plastic cups, I have a lot of the heavier ceramic cups but they can be too hot to hold at times. That’s why I decided to make these easy coffee mug sweaters.
They are cheap, easy and work perfectly! Plus, they make a really cute gift idea for the coffee or tea lover in your life. The possibilities are endless with this DIY idea.
First, you will want to cut your felt into a strip to the width you desire for your cup. I like mine to be right around 3-4 inches. You can always measure if you are unsure.

Cut a design on the bottom of the felt. You can do half circles or triangles, use your imagination. Or, you can leave it as is. It’s completely up to you!
When you are happy with your cut, fit it around your coffee cup and be sure to find out how and where it lays. Cut off any excess felt as needed. Then place two Velcro dots on the one side of the felt. Then on the opposite side of the other side of the felt, place the other velcro dots. Make sure they can match and connect.
