Easy DIY Father's Day Present

My kids love creating things, so with Father's Day coming up and not a lot of money to spend, they decided to make a special gift for their dad. They think their dad totally rocks, so they decided to show him -- literally!
The first step in creating this family rock art was to gather rocks in the backyard. The kiddos chose a rock for each of them and one rock to represent Dad. They rinsed the rocks in the pool, but this could also be done in the sink.
The rocks needed a base, so I found some scrap wood, and the kids painted it white. Then they decorated the rocks with googly eyes and Sharpie markers.
I helped them use a hot glue gun to attach the rocks to the base, and then they wrote "Our Dad Rocks" on the front of the base. We're so happy with the way this gift turned out, and we can't wait for Father's Day!
You can find more photos and tips on the blog. :)

Did you find the googly eyes with all the colors or did you use the markers? If you found them ready to go...where did you buy them!!!!
