Halloween is meant to be spooky and this Halloween we want to take it a notch higher with these Spider Sack Mini Soaps. This easy DIY soap is just perfect for your Halloween festivities! Make a large batch of this fun Halloween soap for party favors, or make a regular batch to decorate within your bathroom.

These handcrafted creepy soaps with spiders trapped inside of them are something that you might find in a boutique store. They look so creepy, festive, and fun, right? Thankfully, the ingredients to making these creepy soaps are relatively inexpensive and the soaps are super easy to make, right from home. To make these Spider Sack Mini Soaps you will need glycerin and the mini plastic spiders.

I’m sure by now you are probably baffled and have questions about making these Spider Sack Mini Soaps. The good news is, making these soaps is no more complicated than making any of our other soap recipes.

How much glycerin do you need?

For my spider soap, I use around 0.5 lbs of glycerin to make 15 pieces of soap. Then you need to cut the soap into 1-inch cubes which you will then melt using a microwave-safe spouted measuring cup.

Where to get the spider models?

The spider models are available on amazon. A box of 300 pieces will set you back around $10 which is pretty affordable. Additionally, these models are durable, non-toxic, and do not deform which means they can be re-used a couple of times.

Can we add fragrance to the soap?

Yes, we can add fragrance to the soap. However, note that most fragrances will slightly change the color of your soap. It is advisable to test the color of your fragrance on a sample before adding it to the whole batch.

How do you get the soap out of the mold?

As long as you use this silicone soap mold, you will be able to just pop the soaps right out of the mold once they have set.

What other creepy Halloween models are available?

There are a lot of mini creepy models you can consider for Halloween soap making. They include bats, scorpions, bugs, and creepy eyeballs. Another spooky idea would be to use the glow-in-the-dark mini models for your soap. Pretty spooky, right?

Easy DIY Soap for Halloween

½ lb glycerin soap
Mini spiders

Tools

15 Holes Cylinder Silicone Mold
Large microwave safe spouted measuring cup
Wooden craft stick for stirring

Instructions

Cut the soap base into 1-inch cubes. Place into a measuring cup.
Heat on high for 30-second increments, stirring well after each heating session, until soap is completely melted.
Pour a small amount of soap into each soap mold and immediately put 2-3 spiders on top, upside down.
Fill the remainder of each spider-filled mold with soap base.
Allow soap bars to set for about 30-60 minutes, and remove from the mold.

Notes

When placing the mini spider, place them in an upside-down position.

Ensure the spider models settle at the bottom of the mold. In case the spiders float, use a toothpick or a needle to push them back to the bottom.
