Easy Valentine's Day Cards + Crafts: Tackle Box Treats

Looking for easy DIY Valentine's Day gifts or cards? Whether you have a classroom of children to supply for or just your own friends and family, these ideas are cute enough for kids and adults. They're also seriously simple which is perfect for those parents who just don't have time.
I found the cutest organizational items at the Target One Spot recently, and I know they are STILL there if you are looking for them. These divided boxes are (obviously) just a $1, and they had other shapes too. While they are perfect for toting school supplies or holding junk in your messy kitchen, they make an easy way to gift small treats to children or friends.
Using this box, I set up a "tackle box" gift idea. Using candy from Target and snacks from the Dollar Tree, I was able to make this treat box on a small budget. The divided box was the most expensive since the candy and snacks were also just $1 each, but they could last through multiple boxes.
Find gummy fish or worms to be the "bait" and add in cracker fish or these whales.
Once you have all four slots filled, use twine to tie it all together.

Use notecards or make your own gift tags using a free service like PicMonkey to make the gift complete. If your child has a small classroom, you could do these for under $20 (perhaps even $10!). Some of these snacks we had on hand already, so I only had to buy the gummy candy.

If your child's school has a no candy policy, consider filling these containers with erasers, small figurines, or other Valentine's Day dollar goodies. You can check out my Dollar Deals post on Valentine's Day for more inspiration for cheap gifts.
