Holiday Gift Wine Bag

Never have any nice wine bags around for gifts? DIY one!
Last minute holiday plans happen all the time, right? And you need to bring a gift too! Thankfully you have a bottle of wine on hand, whew, but wait, nothing nice to put it in! Ah no!

With a few materials you likely have on hand, leftover bits and pieces, you can quickly and easily assemble a wine bag. Dog nose sold separately.
Start by measuring the widest part of your wine bottle. Here my bottle was ten inches so I measured for a wide sloppy seam and extra room at 11.25". Cut your fabric accordingly.

This is so easy, you'll be giving away oodles of wine this year, making all sorts of friends. Next, fold over the top and stitch a seam so it's nice and tidy. Sew down along the side and across the bottom. Voila! Wine sock!

The world of decoration is your oyster at this point.
Here I'm gathering up my supplies of white fuzzy fabric, mini pom poms, orange felt sliver, and satin ribbon.
I glued up the snowman face with my hot glue gun and cut the mini wired garland into arms. If you can't find the garland, pipe cleaners work just as well.
Lastly, glue it all onto your wine bag with the hot glue!
Tie off with lengths of ribbon and bingo! So easy, right?! And super cute. Everyone will love giving, and getting, your holiday wine bags!
