I am so excited to show you guys how cool this DIY Patchwork Wrapping Paper turned out. I’ve been wrapping presents like crazy in the basement and decided to turn the scraps into a large sheet. I wish I could say that I was brainstorming ways to be more green, but I was actually hiding. This past month, I have actually turned into “Ninja Mom” at home. What I mean by this is, I sneak around for as long as possible and see how long I can get through my day without the kids finding me.

I have felt so smothered from being with the kids at home, that I’m desperate for alone time. Last week I hid by the hot water heater when Scout was looking for me to tattle on her brother. Trust me, I love these kids of mine, but I’m ready to build a MIL house in the backyard for myself to live in. So, while hiding out in the basement, I made this patchwork wrapping paper. This was so simple and it’s a great way to customize gifts and feel good about not wasting as much!

Gather all your wrapping paper scraps.

You can cut the rough edges by cutting along the lines on the back of the paper. Glue the pieces of wrapping paper together.

When the wrapping paper was dry, I cut around the entire sheet so it was nice and even all the way around.

You can also just glue smaller scraps to a larger sheet of paper to get the patchwork effect.

Wrap your gifts as usual, tie with a bow and you’ll have the coolest DIY Patchwork Wrapping Paper on the block!
