Need help for a Craft idea for a bridal

Diane
by Diane

My niece's bridal shower is in October & she's getting married in December. I have bought things off her registry & some things I special I wanted her to her, ex. A personalized wedding album.

We are very close, I am very close to her Mom who happens to be my sister.

My Q. is, any suggestions for something special I can make for her? She's a Nurse & her Fiancee is a Police officer if this helps. I love doing crafts but my is a blank. Thank you so much. Diane

  • You could make them a set of glasses that are monogrammed with their initials using a stencil and etching cream. Another idea is to make them a sign with their last name and the date of their wedding.

The glasses is a great idea, thank you.

Unfortunately I don't have the skill to make the sign, I wish I did

A scrapbook using papers for nursers and police officers. Also you could make a shadow box filled with little mementos that are special to them

How about some beautiful handmade flowers:

Hi Diane, friends of ours gave us two silver spoons with our names stamped into the spoon and a little sign at the bottom that said "Spooning since 1991" We still have it hanging in the bedroom. You can get a metal stamping set at most craft stores and you can frame the spoons in a homemade frame.

This is way off topic but a picture of the groom frisking the bride while the bride wears stethoscope would be the funny and yet revelent to their professions or the two embracing with hand cuffs on. But a nice large picture of their wedding day would be a wonderful way to remember the day. No reason you can't add a little humor too.

Oh my goodness that would be so funny, they would love it. Thank you ♥️

Something I think is very personal, is taking all of the cards she receives from her shower and make a collage out of them that she can display. Check out what I did over here: https://happydealhappyday.com/wedding-baby-shower-card-collage-keepsake/

Hi Maura, I'm going to ask my niece if I can have all the cards after her shower be cause I want to make her something special. She trusts my crafting & she'll love it. Thank you so much ♥️ Diane

Do you have a sewing machine, do you knit or crochet?

Are there any crafts that you already have experience with or particularly enjoy?

Offer to make a wreath from her bridal bouquet after the wedding or preserve the bouquet if it's not silk.

    • Diane Diane on Jun 21, 2022

Hi Kathy, her Mom is actually going to have it preserved in a shadow box like I did for my daughter. It came out beautiful. Thank you ♥️

There is always lots of opportunity to send out thank you notes after a wedding celebration. Does you niece already have personalized return address labels ?

These come in handy for all types of mail, including Christmas cards which they may want to send out to mark their first Christmas as a newly married couple.

Perhaps you could order a gift set , with hers and her husband's first names, (if you are unsure if either one will be changing their surname after the wedding.)

You could buy them sheets and a blanket and make a police car with them similar to a diaper cake but use sheets and blanket and pillow cases rubber bands to hold then car body wheels

  • Diane Diane on Jun 23, 2022

I know how to make a diaper cake but I'm not sure how much of each I would need to do this. Would you be able to guide me a little further, I really love this idea.

    Thank you

What about a tray with her wedding invitation and photo under glass?

  • What about something that documents their relationship leading up to their engagement? I’d find that a very touching personal gift to treasure.

  • A scrapbook made with police and nursing stationery. Additionally, you may create a shadow box and fill it with personal trinkets for them. With the aid of an etching cream and stencil, you might create them a pair of spectacles that are monogrammed with their initials. Making them a sign with their last name and the day of their wedding is another option.
