Downton Abbey Inspired Christmas Tree

I needed some props for my Downton Abbey Themed Christmas Tree...oh yeah, I SO did a tree this year inspired after this British hit! Doilies, tea cups, vintage photo's and antiqued Christmas balls were used to create this look.
I used old silver balls from previous seasons and simply applied a thin coat of acrylic paint...once it was half dry, I wiped some of the paint off with a cloth. To see the complete tree and all it's shabby chic goodness, click on the link below :)
The Grantham ladies drink plenty of tea, so some antique tea cups were a must have item on this tree
Up-cycle used silver balls into vintage looking ornaments
Staple small doilies together to create a lace-like garland
What does Cousin Violet say? This famous quote of her's was added to the tree.
Sponge on acrylic paint, allow to half dry then wipe off with a cloth

Where is the link to see your completed tree? I've looked on this hometalk post & cannot find it.

@Sow and Dipity it's genius, really! I can see why the ladies love it. I used to watch Downton Abbey, but stopped after Matthew died. He was my favorite character!

Me too! I couldn’t find her link for her blog to view it as well and the “GO” button was denied. Maybe not running anymore? But...I think I found it on google images here from Pinterest . Thought I’d try to share with you just in case
