Decorative Balls To Christmas Ornaments

Don’t you love using items you have around the house to decorate for the holidays. Here is a quick and easy idea using some decorative balls we all have somewhere.

What you’ll need

  • Ball
  • Fabric
  • String
  • Glue gun (optional)
  • Ribbon
  • Pinecones

Grab a piece of fabric and fit it around your ball. I recommend using fabric that's about triple the size of what the ball.

Take a string and wrap it around the top. You can also use a strip of the fabric itself, a rubber band or hair tie, really whatever you have handy.

This was a piece of the fabric scrap that I used

I wrapped around some extra ribbon from the Dollar Tree. You can add any scraps you have from old projects.

I love pinecones. I added a couple at the end. You can hotglue them in place or just make sure they're snug in the fabric.

Because you could still use that fabric for something else when Christmas is over if you don’t glue it onto the fabric I just tied it all so I can remove after Christmas and reuse the fabric.

Here is the finished project! I added it in my bowl by my door!

And here is my full Christmas porch with items I had I used and old vintage sled add a swag and a bucket added some logs and a pillow and used one of my fills from another pillow so all these items can be used after even the wreath can be changed up for a new look so think of items you have so you don’t waste money but give your home a holiday feel

Lovely idea, looks really nice, thank you. Would be great for all those old tennis balls.

Funny, I actually prefer the old wooden ball as it was, it's stunning and would make a beautiful Christmas decoration.

What a great repurposing idea, will give it a go thanks.
