If you're dreaming of a whimsical Christmas, this is the craft for you. With just a few items, I made the cutest little mushroom ornaments to add to the Christmas tree.

I used bright colors for my mushrooms, but you can use white, beige & browns for more realistic looking mushrooms.

Start by cutting two circles out of felt. I cut them out free hand because they didn't have to be perfect. Stitch around the larger circle with a needle and embroidery floss.

Gently pull on the embroidery floss to create the cap. You want it roughly the same size as the smaller circle. Next, you'll want to stitch the two pieces together.

Fill with polyester fiberfill and stitch the mushroom cap closed.

Roll up a piece of felt and stitch together.

Next you'll want to attach the stem to the mushroom. I stitched mine on, but you can add the stem with glue if you want. I added some dots to the top of my mushroom and used embroidery floss for hanging.

I love how cute these mushroom turned out and will definitely be making some for my nature loving friends and family.

These would also be adorable as gift toppers or fun for a group craft night and they are so affordable to make.
