I am still stuck in "beach" mode. We're having such a mild Winter - no rain in sight, no Snow forecast for the hills.Definitely going to be a rationed water Summer Sunny every day, cold in the mornings, a nice balmy 60 - 65 in the afternoons...is it no wonder I can't get in the Christmas mood - not to mention it's 2020...UGGGH! So I'm doing my best to "get in the mood" Here we go with an easy Shell Ornament you can make with the kiddos!
Gather elongated shells, such as Tulip, Rock and others. You'll need 5.
Choose 5 that look the best together to form a Star and glue with E-6000. Let dry overnight.
Glue a 5'' piece of cord to the back - your choice of color. I held mine in place with a clothespin while it dried.
Cover the front of the "Star" with a coat of Mod Podge. Dredge through your color choice of glitter, I chose silver. Once coated, tap to release loose glitter. Let dry. Spray with sealant to prevent shedding. Let dry.
I added a large faux silver pearl to the center.
Voila! All done and hanging on the tree icon A quick (except for the drying part) easy ornament that can be used as a package topper or a sweet reminder gift.
