This is such an easy idea for a personalized Christmas ornament. It only takes about five minutes and would make the perfect teacher gift or hostess gift or a gift for someone special.

It's also a great craft idea for the holidays when family is over and you are looking for something to create together.

How to Make a Monogrammed Ornament

supplies:

white ornament

paint pen

letter stickers

ribbon

1. Start with a plain white ornament

You want a matte ornament for this to work.

If the ornament has a shiny finish, the paint will slide off or smear.

It was actually hard to find plain white ornaments (in surprising news) so I found this set of 24 on Amazon for under $11.00.(affiliate link)

I chose white, but any light-colored ornament that matches your decor would work for this project.

2. Add a letter sticker

You can find letter stickers at most craft stores.

They come in tons of different fonts and sizes. I think this project works best if you find letter stickers that are at least 2″ tall.

You also want the font to be relatively simple. An intricate design may get lost in the dots.

3. Use a paint pen and add dots

I used a red paint pen for this, but it would also look pretty in metallics like silver or gold or any color that matches your tree.

You want to use a paint pen that’s medium tipped, not too fine.

Then dot all around the sticker.

Make the dots closer together right by the letter and then scatter them out around the ornament when you get farther away from the letter.

4. Peel off the sticker

Let the paint pen dots dry thoroughly.

Then peel off the letter sticker.

Here’s what it looks like when it’s finished. Isn’t it cute? These would make the best gift ideas for a teacher or hostess gift. Simply add a ribbon to the top and you have the perfect ornament to add to the tree.

I thought this would make such a fun craft for a party or family celebration.

All you need is a bowlful of ornaments, a pack of stickers and some paint pens. The supplies for a group of 15 people would be under $20 and give everyone a gift to take home.

I hope you have the merriest of Christmases full of merry and bright and joy and all the Christmas crafts.
