Create your own Chalkboard Mason Jar Lid Ornaments by upcycling your old & used canning lids & rings!
Before I get to these Chalkboard Mason Jar Lid Ornaments I have some super exciting news! I am an aunt (again)! My sister-in-law Michelle (who is in Africa with her family as missionaries) gave birth to her fourth child over the weekend - a healthy baby boy! From what we have heard everything happened really fast - so fast that they didn't even have time to make it to a hospital! Even still everything went smoothly & now I am eagerly waiting for summer to come when I can meet her new bundle of joy baby Anderson!
Last week I shared a DIY christmas ornament using mason jar canning rings to create Sparkling Star Mason Jar Lid Ornaments & many people started asking what they should do with the lids after using the rings. So I decided I would answer their question with a new Christmas ornament craft! I left some of these Chalkboard Mason Jar Lid Ornaments without the canning rings, but I decided I preferred the look of them with the added ring.
The best part about this chalkboard craft is that you don't need to have good handwriting to create adorable Chalkboard Mason Jar Lid Ornaments! After some trial & error I finally figured out a special trick for adding Christmas quotes to these Chalkboard Mason Jar Lid Ornaments.
