Primitive Christmas Ornaments

I have another quick primitive Christmas ornament idea for you guys today. Yesterday I showed you how I made primitive candy cane Christmas ornaments for my thrifted Christmas tree. Today I'm going to show you how I made the primitive ball ornaments for my tree.

For the primitive ball ornaments you will need 1.4" foam balls. These are very small because I am making them for a miniature tree. Get bigger size foam balls if you want to make your ornaments for a bigger tree. You will also need jute string and fabric scraps.

Rip your fabric into strips, or cut them if you don't want frayed edges. I cannot tell you the length of strips I cut because I just eyeballed it.

Wrap the fabric strip around the ball, overlapping the ends and hot glue it down.

Do the same thing with another piece of fabric. Keep going around the ball until it is completely covered with fabric scraps.

Make a loop with the jute string and hot glue it to the top of your ornament for hanging.

That's it! Super easy and inexpensive primitive Christmas ornaments for a miniature tree!

This project cost me less than $5 to make and was so fun to put together!
