Rainbow Confetti Ornament

I have to admit that I am a bit obsessed with rainbows... they were everywhere in the 80's (when Rainbow Brite was huge) and so they are a little nostalgic to me. I made my daughter Scout this rainbow confetti ornament and it definitely feels a little old school to me - I love it!

I used thin craft paper, but you can use tissue paper or construction paper for your confetti.

Cut the paper and make your own rainbow confetti. Make sure to keep the colors separate.

I started filling my clear ornament bulb with the confetti, one color at a time. My confetti was big enough that I just used my fingers to fill it, but you can always use a funnel if it would be easier. Make sure the confetti is packed pretty tight in the ornament so that it doesn't move around.

I used my hot glue gun to add a bow to the top. I tied on a ribbon for hanging and used a pink glitter sticker to decorate the bulb.

This was super easy to make and would be fun for an ornament making party. I had everything for this project at home already. I am pricing this project at $2 because I recently purchased more glue sticks, but this is a very inexpensive Christmas craft.

Great safe & beautiful project for children at our elementary school. They can have fun and take home a beautiful ornament. I imagine some of them will hang it in there room year round.
