Simple Wood Slice Christmas Pudding Ornament.

I'm not sure if everyone eats Christmas pudding but here in the UK after the Turkey, the Christmas pudding is probably the second most famous part of our Christmas dinner.
I love to make at least one new handmade Christmas ornament for my tree, so this year I decided to make a Christmas pudding one by using a wood slice.
You can either cut your own wood slices (mine where about 3inches in diameter) or buy them online or in your local craft shop. I got mine on Amazon (see here).
The first thing I did was stain my wood slice with dark wax to make it more of a Christmas Pudding colour. I also drilled a hole in it from which to hang my ornament.
If you buy your wood slices you may be able to get some with pre-drilled holes.
Then using some scrap pieces of white felt and green felt. I cut a cream top and 2 holy leaves for the ornaments.
First I stuck the cream felt to the wood slice using craft glue.
Next, I sewed a couple of small red beads to the holy leaves so that they looked like holly berries. I then stuck these to the cream felt with craft glue.
I told you they were easy. In fact, they are so simple to make you could make a few and even use them as a unique gift tag.
