Upcycled Tile Ornaments

I've gained quite the reputation as a project supply hoarder, so when my neighbors had some leftover tile samples, they knew just what to do with them! They brought them to me and I let them sit all around my house for months until a spark of inspiration hit and I decided to upcycle them into Christmas ornaments! (To see my FAVORITE upcycle project ever, check out this blog post!)
I gathered supplies like rubber stamps, acrylic paints, glue, and ribbon, and got to work!
I painted light coats of multi-surface acrylic paint onto my rubber stamps, and applied them to the fronts of my clean tiles.
After I created multiple designs, including with alphabet rubber stamps, I let the ornaments dry overnight. Once they were totally dry, I glued pretty ribbon to the backs of the ornaments.
After the glue set, I attached a piece of stiffened felt over the ribbon - just to hold it in place better and to help prevent it from peeling up.
Then I let these dry again overnight. Once I was sure they were totally dry, I displayed them on my Christmas tree!
They turned out so pretty and have such a wonderfully unique look! I'm so happy my neighbors knew who to give their tile samples to. :-)
