Doctor Who Party Paper Plates and Napkins

My daughter wanted a Doctor Who themed 6th birthday this year (YES! So fun to plan!), but paper plates and napkins for this theme aren't really available, at least here in the states. Solution? DIY, obviously!
I tried a bunch of different techniques, including custom stencils and stamps and inks... but those were messy and didn't look great.
The easiest solution? Making the basic graphics and printing them out.
Then cutting out the elements, and simply gluing them onto the blue napkins!
I used exactly the same technique to create my TARDIS paper plates.
I love how they turned out! I wouldn't use these with wet food, obviously, but for cookies and cupcakes and such, they were perfect!

Or cover with a slightly smaller clear plastic plate?
