DIY Green Olives Decorations

Ok guys, I have something really cool to show you... I was washing dishes the other day and cleaning out a pickle jar. I was thinking about how cute it would be to package Easter eggs in the jar when I started thinking about making pickle eggs. Then I thought about other things I could make to put in the jar and thought about olives. They are already the shape of the eggs, so olives would be perfect!

I started my search for red Easter eggs, but despite all my efforts, I could not find any. I figured out another way to make this work though...

These are so cute just sitting in a jar, right? Use them to decorate your kitchen or as a centerpiece on the tables. You could also easily turn this into a quirky island for a home bar!

Start by filling your Easter eggs with treats.

Cut the end off of a red balloon. I had to use large eggs with these regular sized balloons, but if you want to use the regular sized eggs, use mini balloons.

Cover your eggs with the balloons. If you have red balloons, you don't need to do this part.

Cut the ends off of green balloons and cover the egg, making sure to go the opposite way of the red balloon.

You now have your own Easter egg olives... these are adorable as Easter decorations and would look so cute in a basket or a jar.

These are also perfect party favors and could be used for adult parties... how cute would these be as decorations on a dirty martini bar?
