    Hello Graciela,

What's his favourite toy? Use that as a theme. Tablecloth, Drinks cups, Napkins, Birthday Cake, Balloons, Bunting, etc....

If he has a favorite hero or character, that's the way to go. You can then use the colors from those for napkins, colored plastic utensils and cake plates. Scattering a few colorful jellybeans or creating small clear gift backs with them inside is also a way to add color. If he's into cars and trucks, then use that type of tops for the table decorations. So many choices at the local $Tree or Walmart stores. You might even include him in the shopping and he'll be drawn to something he'll enjoy sharing with his friends. If he's into the cowboy theme, bandanas can be used either as napkins or placed as table decor. Get him involved and it will make it easy and fun for all of you.

Does he have any favorite characters or toys? Does he gravitate towards certain colors? You can also ask him what he likes - and then have the decorations revolve around those. Since you didn't give out too many details, may I suggest also having a slime party? My brother recently hosted one for his kid and all his friends loved it. It's not too hard to do too, we're planning to do one too using https://www.meccanohome.com/how-to-make-slime/ as guide.
