DIY Crate Cat Bed

I can't believe how much our cat loves his new bed. It's his new favorite spot in the house. Best of all? It was a simple DIY project that didn't cost a whole lot to build!
Turbo is our Munchkin cat, he's a little rock star and always gets spoiled. He needed a new cat bed so naturally I decided to try out an idea I saw a while back - turning a $10 crate into a cat bed. A little paint, a pillow and a pillow case - voila - he's a happy camper!
Don't forget to add some feet to the bottom of your cat bed. I used 3" round dowels and attached them with a little wood glue and some brad nails.
I painted the entire cat bed a nice light blue (it's turbo's favorite color). No, not really - it was left over paint from when we renovated our bathroom. But maybe it is his favorite color - who knows! :)
I added a few little paw prints with white paint to some of the slats, to give it a personal touch.
Once the paint is completely dry, the only thing left to do is add a pillow and let Turbo explore his new cat bed! It took him less than 10 seconds to curl up and fall asleep - seriously! lol He loves it!
Isn't he just the studdliest little cat ever?
