I want to make a large dog bed to put on top of my king size bed beside me.

Kimberly: I just put a parched (like at Home Goods) dog bed on top of my quilt. In a pinch, my dog will sleep on a soft blanket too. Or, maybe this will help:

Hi Kimberly. For a bumper style doggie bed, I just rolled the edges of an old blanket and stitched them in place. My pup seems to enjoy it. The cats too😊
I used an old blanket and sort of swirled it around , with the center mostly flat , it looks like a bird's nest . This is for my cat ! I don't see why you couldn't do it for your dog ... I wouldn't even sew it , to keep its shape , just adjust it as needed , this will also make it easier when you want to wash it ! Good luck !
