After looking at the sites they posted. Try and determine if kitty likes high and low places (especially if it's an older cat.) Also do they like enclosed places or out in the open. This way you won't be spending time and money on something they won't use. Although catnip can entice them to explore.
You can line them with cardboard boxes to help maintain the structure- good luck!
