How far up do they scratch? I was thinking of adding a metal kickplate, maybe in copper or stainless steel, whichever works with your decor. Can be screwed into the door.
You need to replace their scratching place. If they are scratching to get out or in maybe a cat or dog door? If that is not possible, train them to tell you when they need out by coming to you (treat time!) or even ring a bell hanging from the door knob. I had a cat who did that himself when I put up a Xmas bell.
after you refinish cover with a piece of plexi glass
I like this idea too. Since I have to cover a large area, if I can't find the kick plate I want, this will work too. Thanks!
