What is the best way to make your own dog kennel that looks nice?

We have a backyard pool and deck no grass. We are looking to make a little fenced in area for a small dog 3’x6’ that has a doggy door to it. What are some cute ideas that will look nice?

I would make a gazebo style enclosure...this gives shade. This could easily be made.
Measure out the 2' or 3' sections on the ground in a hexagon shape set the posts (making 2 of them taller and then nail up cedar slats in a horizontal pattern, leaving some space between boards for ventilation.
Then attach a roof. This would be an almost "wishing well" look.
Are you talking about a run or a kennel to house your dog?
Like a run that only has turf but is covered. The dog will be an indoor dog but out to go potty and back in.
thank you i am unsure if the space will allow for a hexagon. We have 3' deep but can go 6' long...in the small area.
