Teach Your Kids To Grow What They Eat - Sustainable Window Farming

We grow most of our veggies and herbs via window farming using my patented Living Ledge Vertical Garden system, which assists with growing microgreens. Almost every window is filled with delicious and nutritious edibles. Our whole family, kids included know how to grow, prepare and enjoy the fruits and veggies of their own labor. Cheers to encouraging kids in the garden and in the kitchen ~ future generations are counting on it! More information on Living Ledge can be found via www.livingledge.com

Growing Microgreens in Living Ledge for my eldest daughter, Chelsea's 20th birthday celebration for our family.
My youngest daughter, Zoe, removed the soil and greens block from the Living Ledge and begins the "haircut".
Zoe trims the microgreen stems and places them into a strainer for a quick rinse.
Our soil block will be divided and replanted into 4 inch pots and wait for further harvesting; Our cut greens are ready for a quick wash.
Our microgreens look great on our cheese platter for the party and tasted even better on our sandwiches! Our whole family enjoyed the spicy microgreen mix. Have fun growing and cooking with & for your kids. They will love you for it

Considering the prices they get for micro greens, it makes a great deal of sense to grow you own.

@Douglas Hunt I could not agree more. Sewing a package of seeds every 4th day will give you enough microgreens to feed a family of four very well.
