Another Small Winter Arrangement

I am in my element when I get to be creative. I always take the first week of January off every year from my day job to put away the Christmas decorations and decorate for winter. Decorating is how I destress from work...

I bought these long stem glass hurricanes several years ago on clearance from Meijer. I think they were $2.99 a piece. I am always on the hunt for lost cost items to dream up new things with.

I cleaned up the glass with Mrs. Meyers, I never see streaks with this cleaner and it smells like lavender too! Can't go wrong with that.

I grabbed my trusty pine picks from Target ($5.00 for a bunch) and an ornament that came from Hobby Lobby last year. I like what I call "Fancy Pants" decorating. A high end look on a low end budget. I dream up new ways to decorate our home by looking at older homes for sale, I even flip through my book from the Biltmore to see how I can get high end looks on my tiny budget.

I stacked the pine together and fanned it out.

Then I placed the pine down inside the glass hurricane.

I kept arranging it until I liked the way it looked and trying to make it look full.

I placed the ornament down on top of the bed of pine at an angle.

Here is a close up.

Here they are in place on my buffet in the dining room.
