Another Use for Pampas Grass----fall Decorations

Teri
by Teri
I started to decorate my porch for fall. As I'm pulling out a few things I'm also cleaning flower beds. Some of my pampas grass was bending over, so as I was cutting it down, I thought "hey, this can be my corn-stalk!"
I got my orange and yellow spray paint and sprayed the feather like tops.
I attached the pampas grass to my porch post with a bungee cord. This will work just fine for my fall decor. As they start to fall over, I will gather more and do the same thing to the other post.
Check out the rest of my porch highlights! My girl scarecrow was boring until I added a cute face, hair essentials, and spruced up her dress. I also made her chicken friend.
This is only the beginning of my fall decorations! I am changing out my summer display to my fall.

How long will the grass hold up before it falls apart or dies? I'm thinking of doing this for a wreath.

Did you make the concrete leaf yourself from an elephant ear plant? I made one last year but it didn't turn out near as good as that one.

Yvonne, what a pretty idea that is. If I ever get one growing I am going to remember this idea. You have a typo up there (Probably another auto correct Fix!) it should be Blueing instead of Glueing! I know you said blueing before this, I seem to have these kind of "Fixes" only to often!!!

Love it! So cool and interesting out there, not the usual boring stuff in front of a home! Very cheerful! :)
