Well the snow has finally melted, horray!!! So it is time to start thinking about dusting off the patio furniture and bringing it outside and along with that goes making something bright and cheery for the outside of my house. Nothing says hello spring and hurry up summer like a big colorful flower! I seen these little plastic food baskets at the dollar store. They are ones you would be served food in at a snack bar. There were four in a pack in bright fun colors and I immediately thought of making a large flower out of them. I spotted plastic plates in bright colors also beside them and grabbed one to use as the center of my flower. Scroll on down for step by step instructions on how to make this fun flower.

Supplies needed for this project are 3 packages of plastic baskets. They contain 4 colors, pink, blue, green and orange. So you can choose your color of your flower. One plastic plate. Again color of your choice. And a hot glue gun.

Remove baskets from packaging and arrange on floor to determine placement of baskets and plate.

After determining placement of baskets remove the plate from the center. With a hot glue gun start gluing the sides of your baskets together to over lap. Once glued it is time to glue your plate in the center.

After gluing the plate, I flipped my flower upside down and taking my glue gun began adding more glue where my baskets met my plate and pressed firmly in place. Flip back over when glue is dry.

So my flower is complete. I have a nail in the brick of my house so all I had to do was slide a basket hole over the nail.

This was a super easy project to complete. You can add a little smiley face to the plate or leave as is or opt to write Welcome. The options and colors are endless.
