How to make a bird's nest terrarium. This is a fake terrarium with faux moss and a fake bird's nest for spring. You can also use plastic succulents.

I got most of my supplies from Dollar Tree. It uses a flower pot and the hanging globes from Dollar Tree.

You will need:

  • Chalk paint
  • Hot glue gun
  • Flower pot
  • Jute twine
  • Plastic terrarium (I got mine at Dollar Tree, but you can also find them on Etsy)
  • Moss
  • E6000
  • Bird's nest
  • Glass knob
  • Paint brushes
  • Scissors

Paint the flower pot with chalk paint. I made mine white, but you can use any color you want.

Then use hot glue to attach the twine to the bottom of the flower pot. Wrap the twine around until you like how it looks. Secure the end with a dab of glue.

Now attach the globe to the base. Add E6000 around the flower pot and then add hot glue. The hot glue holds it in place while the E6000 dries.

Remove the screw from the drawer pull. Use hot glue to attach it to the top. I used more hot glue around the base of it.

Then add some moss to the bottom of the globe. You can hot glue it in place. Add the bird's nest on top.

I glued the moss outside of the globe and down the flower pot so it looks like it is spilling out. If you don't glue the bird's nest, you can add succulents or flowers to change the look.
