Take a pretty but plain chandelier to another level for spring, or for any season with a few ideas using vintage wallpaper and paint!
If you enjoy working with paper, consider creating some new looks for an old chandelier for spring and summer! I have several rolls of vintage wallpaper on hand for craft projects, but you can use pretty paper napkins for this project or even old sheet music.
I decided to upgrade the look of the candle covers on my vintage crystal chandelier using the materials above. Full instructions are on my blog with the link below, but basically I traced around these plastic candle covers and glued the paper on with Mod Podge. You can do a variety of papers which would be a great idea if you save excess wrapping paper leftover from gift giving.
Another way to change the look of your chandelier is to paint some glass bobeches. You'll often find these at flea markets and thrift shops. Use watered down glass paint that you'll find at the craft store.
My chandelier has been "springified" and has touches of pink with the wallpaper and the pink crystals. This is so much fun to do and just a starting point to get you thinking! See more on my blog...linked below.
