Christmas Pine Wreath Makeover
How to change a Christmas pins wreath into an everyday wreath.
First you will start out with a wreath. I actually purchased the largest one that Hobby Lobby had which I believe was 48”. Plus, I purchased when it had 40% off. You have to grab things quick or they will be gone.
Now the fun part… purchasing floral.
In my case I wanted a variety.
Amazon has Wisteria in a wide variety of colors. This one is a great base to start with. I started with one piece of champagne colored wisteria and used the pine pieces to attach it. You bend a piece around the stem to secure it. You do not need wire for this project as the stems and the wreath pine pieces work perfectly to secure it.
I wanted to throw off the pine needle look by purchasing leaf style floral pieces on Amazon. I found them to be the best in bulk and price. I added these stems to the sides but toward the back to have a fan affect. I went about every 4-5” around with a green leaf.
I first took my floral pieces and laid them out the way I wanted before attaching them to the wreath. When you do this you get an idea of how you want them to look.
A tip that I thought I’d share is buying bushels of flowers and using a wire cutter to cut as close to the Bottom of the stem. This will give you a multiple amount of flowers and much more cost effective. You can always pick up flowers on clearance throughout the season changes and use them on later projects.
I kept ordering more and more bushels of flowers as I needed a lot for this wreath.
please note if you are sensitive to getting cut from the pine needles wear a pair of gloves. It requires a ton of twisting the pine needles stems or the floral stems. That is up to the piece you are using.
I am absolutely in love with how it turned out. You would never know it was a Christmas wreath.
I hope you liked my wreath transformation. It will be displayed in my new home we are currently building.
