Repurpose: From Ceiling Medallion to Garden Wreath!

Hello Friends! Today I am sharing my latest repurposed endeavor! I picked up this ceiling medallion for .25 at my favorite weekly sale. While I did not have a specific project in mind, the intricate design appealed to me. Around the same time, I found several adorable chalkboard signs for 50% off. I loved the garden sentiment and was inspired to create a wreath.
First I gave it a coat of white spray paint...
Next, since the medallion was a little flimsy, I attached it to a wreath form using wire.
Now for the fun part! I wrapped burlap and lace ribbon around the center, covering the wire in back and adding a little more stability. I use burlap ribbon for a lot of projects so I buy it when Hobby Lobby offers it half price. The polka dot ribbon, lace and ric rack are .25 yard sale finds.
I attached the watering can, butterfly and tiny ladybug--all thrifted finds--with craft glue. The heart clips holding the seed packets were clearance from Michaels. Below is a closer look at the bottom. The ladybug rests on fragrant lavender from my garden.
Here is a better view of the sweet garden sign.
Thanks so much for dropping by today--have a great week!
