DIY Cabinet Door Clipboard & Hello Spring Free Printable

Hey friends! icon We’ve been on the cooler side for this time of year in Nor Cal, but we’re supposed to hit the 80-90 degree range over the next few days. I loved all the rain we got over our winter season (and we really needed it!) but I’m ready for some warmer weather!
To celebrate it finally warming up around here, I made this cabinet door clipboard & hello spring free printable to share with you! icon
I bought the cabinet door for $2 at the Habitat For Humanity ReStore. I love that place – it is a repurposer’s paradise! icon

For a complete list of materials I used for this project, please visit my blog HERE.
I cleaned the cabinet door with the Krud Cutter, then applied two coats of the chalk paint, letting it dry thoroughly after each coat.
Once the second coat of chalk paint was dry, I lightly distressed the cabinet door with 150 grit sandpaper.
I then applied the Antiquing wax by brushing it on in small areas, then immediately wiping off the excess wax with a clean, damp cloth. After leaving it dry thoroughly, I did the same thing with the Clear wax, only I let each area sit for a few minutes and then wiped off the excess with a clean, dry cloth.
Once the wax was completely dry, I attached the clipboard clip using the wood screws.
Now for the free printable! It says “hello spring” and it is 8 1/2″ x 11″ in PDF format. I had to trim it a bit to fit nicely on my clipboard. I printed it out on cardstock paper so it would lay flat.

I haven't done a lot of antiquing I have only used the crackle glaze and I have distressed some pieces after I painted them so I really don't know a lot about it. Can you tell me what antiquing wax is and what it is used for?
