This DIY Dollar Store Fall Garland Craft could not be any easier and the outcome looks like you spent a lot of time and/or money on it. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

I did this same concept last winter when I made a  DIY Wood Tree Garland for Christmas.

I loved the look of that garland so much that when I saw the wood pumpkins and leaves at the Dollar Tree, I wanted to try the same idea and create some fall garlands as well.

Whenever I decorate for a new season or holiday, I always come across a couple of areas where I just need to add a little something to fill the spot. Garlands are great for that because you can hang them or set them anywhere you need. You can make them long or short and you can customize them to fit your style perfectly.

I shared exactly how to make this garland in the video above, but thought I would walk through it here as well.

I used my (aff) heat gun on high setting and "burned" (aff) the wood cut outs. I just wave the heat over the wood and it gives it a charred look.

Once the cut outs are cooled off, I strung them on some twine with wood beads in between each cut out.

This project is so easy to make. You could get the entire family involved and customize them to fit your style and liking.
