Dollar Tree Snow Family | Snowman Christmas Decor

In today's video, I will be making an adorable Snow Family. Includes Dad, Mom, and Kid. This is a simple, quick craft you can do in about 15 minutes.

I picked up three sizes of round styrofoam balls from Dollar Tree the other day. I wasn't really sure what I was going to with them but I knew I could figure something out.

I first thought about wrapping them in fabric and making Christmas ornaments but then it dawned on me, they look like snow people.

I hope you like this video and find some inspiration to go and do something fun in your home too!

Step 1. Paint Base.

I painted the 4x4 wood with white chalk paint. I used Waverly chalk paint but any white paint will work.

Step 2. Assemble Snow Family.

I glued my snow family together using a hot glue gun. If you don't have a hot glue gun you can try this with Elmer's Glue but I think the hot glue holds it together better. You can find hot glue guns for less than $10.

Step 3. Attach Family to Base.

I glued my family to the board. I would recommend "dressing" your snow people before attaching to the board. It was a little difficult to do after I had them in place.

Step 4. Dress Snow Family.

Using ribbon or whatever you have on had dress your little snow family up in their cold weather outfits.

Step 5. Give Snow Family Faces.

Using a sharpie I made the faces on my little snow family.

This little snow family is a cute way to welcome winter into your home. By using the 4" wood square it fits perfectly on a tiered tray. The tiered tray pictured was made using Dollar Tree stove top covers. View my posts for the stove top cover tiered tray.
