Easy Fall Garland!

5 Materials
1 Hour

Here we will make a Fall garland using oven bake clay and yarn!

Condition Clay

You will roll the clay into a small ball until it's a uniform consistency

Roll out

I used a rolling pin, but you could use anything to press it flat. Think a plate, your hand, etc.

Cut out shape

You could easily use a cookie cutter for this, but I made this garland only using what I had on hand.

Carve design

I carved a little design onto the leaves.

Make more shapes!

Here are some different shapes I tried!

Make more!

I made different shapes!

Place them on foil

I laid mine out on foil as flat as possible

Put in the oven and follow directions on the box

I think my thickness required 15 minutes of cooking time.

All cooked

Here they are!

Thread yarn through

Here you can use tape to make it easier to push yarn through.

Make main garland

I used a finger knitting technique here.

Create chain

You can make this as long or as short as you want.

Using the tape trick again

Here I am using the tape trick again to attach these leaves to the garland

Progress and added tassels

I also made these tassels (I have a different project for tassels you can check out!) to add some visual interest.

Final Product

Here's the final product and I hung it using tape on my headboard!

Beautiful picture. Did you make the wall hanging on the far right in the same way?
