Easy Sign Cheat For Fall

I love wooden signs, but I do not have the patience or precision to hand letter, nor do I have a machine to print out phrases...and while I adore stenciling and have made everything from pillows to absolutely darling placemats, when it comes to signs I opt for a much simpler cheat.

I use wall decals or stickers.
There are so many cute choices out there today. I just pick one that suits my mood. The process is ridiculously simple. I start with a board cut to my desired size.
I paint it in a color that will compliment the season and my sticker. Since this sticker was for fall, I went with a bold orange.

It matches the wooden signs I made out of ceiling fan blades. Those I painted, but there weren't any letters involved! icon
When the paint dries, just peel the sticker away from its backing and place it on the board. Since the stickers are made for walls, they are easy to move if they end up in the wrong spot.
Either as a shelf sitter or with a hook added to the back, so it hangs, for very little dough and very little time (and skill) you end up with a stylish holiday accessory.

How fabulous.
