I found this lovely picture in our local thrift store and loved the frame. I initially thought I’d just put new artwork in it, but when I took it apart I had a better idea!

It was well made, but easy to take apart.

I used a blade and cut gently around the frame to remove the backing.

Once everything was removed, I cleaned the glass with alcohol to remove any residue.

To keep the glass from falling out, used my hot glue gun and ran the glue all the way around the frame.

Once the glue dried, I placed my fall stencil on the back of the frame. Once lined up i used blue painters tape to keep in place.

I used a stippling brush to add the paint. You just need a little to start as it could bleed through if you put too much on the brush. Dab excess paint off onto a paper towel before using.

Once done, remove the tape and stencil gently.

An easy fall project for anyone to do!! Use any size frame and stencil to achieve lots of different seasonal artwork.
