Fall Banister Decorating

Barn Tree Place
by Barn Tree Place
Why should we only enjoy our beautifully decorated banisters for the month of December?
Get your garland out in October! Or...earlier!
We had this idea when we were hosting Thanksgiving one year at our home. Everything in our house was "white". Too much white! We desperately needed color in our lives and decorations for the holiday event.

We grabbed our garland and lights out of our Christmas boxes and started wrapping our banisters.
I bought fall decorative items to use instead of our traditional Christmas decor.

Rustic Orange color mesh, fall color silk flowers, raffia and foam berry clusters in different variations and colors.
It looked so pretty and our guests LOVED it!

When it came time to change it out for our Christmas decor, it was really simple. I just removed the orange flowers and clipped on beautiful large poinsettia's and added some gold beads.

Every year I like to change up my trees and decorations. Though it can get very expensive to buy new decor every year, I just use what I have but pick a main color. This particular year was "rustic orange". I knew it would look good with my gold, red or cream color decorations that I had. I bought the mesh really cheap and with a coupon (of course) at Hobby Lobby. One roll was plenty for the banisters, but I needed it for my tree too, so I bought an extra.
You can buy little pumpkins and leave as is or spray paint them and hang them from your banister for the Halloween theme. The $store has so many cute options that you can use.
This wire leaf garland worked great on the banister too. So many options!! Enjoy!
