Ok, I think I have finally finished my fall mantel. I was so excited about making this banner, seriously I had been dreaming about it for awhile.
While part of me was concerned that it wouldn’t look as beautiful as I had imagined it to be, I couldn’t wait to get started on this project – especially because I love every excuse I can get to paint something!
Seriously, when I opened up the beautiful paint set that my in-laws gave me for Christmas last year I literally walked around our house looking for things to paint on – I felt like a little kid with finger paints! So pretty much any excuse I get – or makeup – to paint, I take it!
Since this year’s fall mantel theme has been been filled with dark/neutrals with pops of color, I thought that creating a book page banner would fit perfectly with the rest of the decor.
The great thing about this Fall Leaves Banner is that you could easily paint the leaves any color you wanted or even print them onto colored or patterned paper to create a banner like the Spring Book Page Banner I share earlier this year.
