Easy Fall Garland

I made this fall pennant garland to go on my fall mantel. It's currently hanging on a DIY wooden backdrop, which I already shared, but I thought I would talk a little more about the garland because it's super easy to make, reminds me of football, and it really brightens up the area. I also have it as part of my Hometalk profile page!
I took a length of decorative burlap ribbon and cut it into four rough triangles. The ribbon was stiff, so it was easy to work with. Then, I took some wooden letters and painted them golden yellow.
I chose to use collegiate-style lettering because it reminds me of college football, which is one of the things I love about fall! After the letters were dry, I used hot glue to attach them to the burlap.
Then, all I did was cut a length of twine and attach the burlap to the twine with mini clothespins. I used red and yellow pins because they reminded me of fall leaves.
You can see the mantel and the DIY backdrop in my profile and on my blog. Thanks for reading!
